The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program within LM Space provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). One of the program's two primary operating locations is Vandenberg AFB, CA. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services.

Lockheed Martin is seeking an early career Quality Engineer to support the PLSSS program at Cape Canaveral, FL. This position provides quality engineering support in a launch base services environment. The Quality Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Collaborates with engineering and other functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, tests and evaluates the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
Work Audit findings to root cause and implement corrective and preventive measures, etc.
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
Investigates and works non-conformance issues through to root cause/corrective action.
Seeking continuous improvement through involvement in product, process, and surveillance audit/assessment activities,
Basic Qualifications:
Tobe considered for this role, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical engineering, or other related technical discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Must have the ability to obtain a US clearance
• This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.

Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
Lean Six Sigma / Green Belt or higher certification
One+ years of quality experience
One+ years of aerospace/launch base related experience
Demonstrated thorough attention to detail

Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
