Job Brief

The Quality Control Representative will conduct and coordinate quality checks, assist and train employees, to ensure accurate fulfillment, encoding, picking, and sorting of jobs; log and document results.

SUMMARY:

The Quality Control Representative will conduct quality checks, coordinate quality checks, assist and train employees, interface with Leads, Supervisors, Encoders and Sorters, and ensure accurate fulfillment, encoding, picking, and sorting of jobs; log and document results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist employees with daily operational concerns, demonstrate “Best Practices” for employees; interface with Quality Control Supervisor
• Perform time studies, when applicable
• Identify Sort, Encoding and Quality issues and communicate to the Lead
• Perform quality check after encoding is complete
• Perform quality check after sorting in frame is complete
• Conduct quality audits, record, and submit information to Quality Control Supervisor
• Identify and record errors on daily quality report and submit to Quality Control Supervisor
• Duties may include reassignment to alternate operational areas as business needs require
• Essential duties are not necessarily exhaustive and may be supplemented or otherwise revised by DHL at its sole discretion

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High School or equivalent training and/or least 6 months related experience preferred

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
• Prepare detailed records or reports such as receiving reports, operating logs, quantities, etc.
• Train other workers
• The training time necessary on the job for an employee to achieve average proficiency to perform the work at general satisfactory level is one to three months

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Frequently push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs. (additional weight may be required with assistance)
• Frequently transport mail utilizing pallet jack or electric pallet jack
• This is a warehouse environment where frequently this position will be exposed to cold, hot and changing temperatures; will constantly experience noise at medium level not damaging or loud enough to require protective equipment; will frequently be exposed to dust, dirt and changes in lighting
