The successful QA Technician proofreads all label orders and monitors overall manufacturing process for conformance and authorizes final releases of product.

Primary Functions:

• Performs line clearances.
• Proofreads and reviews label orders according to the QA checklists, customer specifications, and pharmaceutical procedures.
• Monitors “Return to Press” orders. Performs match verifications when required for pharmaceutical orders for which good labels are retained from the previous run.
• Performs QA Final Release verifying documents for accuracy and completeness, and finished packaged product against customer’s specifications.
• Communicates quality issues to all with “need to know”, and communicates with other QA Technicians, supervisors, and managers to ensure smooth workflow transition during the shift and shift changes.

General:

• Audits manufacturing processes for SOP and cGMP conformance, efficiency and continued improvement.
• Assists in formulating process improvements.
• Assists in investigation of customer complaints, including all aspects of root cause analysis and corrective action determination.
• Complies with all QA, safety and company procedures.
• Provides backup or assistance as deemed necessary by management.
• Other duties may be assigned.
