Arapahoe/Douglas Works is a grant-funded organization that has been successfully operating for over 30 years. All positions are subject to grant funding availability.


Performs a variety of compliance and semi-complex duties associated with frequent internal file audits of program, contractual, discretionary, partner and foundation programs. This position will also be responsible for completing subrecipient and other partner audits. This position will draft and present audit reports and policies, facilitate trainings, and transfer information to and from electronic database(s).

Duties

  • Ensures programs comply with all applicable federal, state and/or A/D Works! regulations and policies when auditing all files. Tracks and communicates related pertinent information as required;
  • Maintains records retention system, which includes the historical and current record keeping and purge process in a variety of databases;
  • Accurately record audit results within a variety of databases and tracking mechanisms;
  • Researches, prepares, and drafts reports, dashboards, policies, and guidelines;
  • Facilitates trainings and report presentations for internal and external partners as needed and necessary;
  • Communicates with the Finance and Administrative Services Department, when necessary, to ensure fiscal stewardship and transparency;
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal communication and tact to foster and maintain productive relationships with all internal and external customers;
  • Serves as back-up to the Quality Assurance Team, which may include but may not be limited to the review and approval customer program enrollments, attendance at the state Connecting Colorado users monthly meeting;
  • Assists with scanning of documents and retrieval of information as necessary from relevant databases.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge/Technical Skills – must have adequate keyboarding, spelling/grammar and intermediate computer literacy. Will develop proficiency in use of office and program specific software. Must be proficient in laws, regulations and policies governing program(s). Must have working knowledge of career assessments, guidance and job search methods.
  • Planning and Organizing – must have proficient calendaring, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Communication – Demonstrate effective oral and written communication. Must be able to respond within one-business day to all voice mails and e-mails received.
  • Judgement/Decision Making – Must make decisions congruent with program and agency agoals, laws, regulations, policies and guidelines.
  • Interpersonal Communication – Communicates with all internal and external customers with professionalism, accountability, and integrity

Requirements

Education and Experience:


  • Any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience totaling 5 years will be considered, such as HS diploma + 5 years’ experience, Associates + 3 years, or Bachelors + 1 year.
Relevant experience includes working in workforce development, compliance, data analysis, or related setting.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience totaling 5 years will be considered, such as HS diploma + 5 years’ experience, Associates + 3 years, or Bachelors + 1 year.

Pre-Employment Additional Requirements:


  • Must successfully pass pre-employment testing which includes an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) and background check.
  • Possession of a valid Class “R” Colorado Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within two weeks of appointment.

  • Work is generally confined to a standard office environment with the opportunity to work remotely part of the time
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The following are some of the physical demands commonly associated with this position.
  • Spends 50% of the time sitting and 50% of the time either standing or walking.
  • Occasionally lifts, carries, pulls or pushes up to 20 lbs.
  • Occasionally uses cart, dolly, or other equipment to carry in excess of 20 lbs.
  • Occasionally climbs, stoops, kneels, balances, reaches, crawls and crouches while performing office or work duties.
  • Verbal and auditory capacity enabling constant interpersonal communication through automated devices, such as telephones and computers as well as in public meetings and personal interactions.
  • Constant use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling the use of automated office machinery or equipment.
  • Visual capacity enabling constant use of computer or other work-related equipment.

Definitions:
Occasionally: Activity exists less than 1/3 of the time.
Frequently: Activity exists between 1/3 and 2/3 of the time.
Constantly: Activity exists more than 2/3 of the time.
