Lexington Center for Recovery is seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant to perform quality assurance activities for our OASAS licensed 822 and 820 programs.

The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of the regulations and clinical standards set forth by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports.

This position requires accuracy, orientation to detail and maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

Job Description

  • Assists QA department in ensuring compliance with all Federal and State regulations including, but not limited to, OASAS, SAMHSA, OMIG, HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
  • Performs a variety of activities involved in data collection and entry related to grants
  • Supports and assists with OASAS program site review preparation for certification/re-certification and Social Current OTP clinic accreditation/maintenance of accreditation
  • Audit patient charts to ensure documentation is complete, timely and meets clinical and regulatory standards. Report findings/corrections needed to QA Director/Assistant Director.
  • Assists with retention utilization reviews in programs on an as-needed basis
  • Maintain electronic documents, spreadsheets, data and other files for county, state, and Social Current standards for review by Director and Assistant Director of QA
  • Stay up to date on all Federal, State, County and Social Current requirements
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by QA Department to support agency/program operations

Qualifications

  • At least one year of direct care experience in OASAS programs with the SUD population
  • Good analytical and innovative problem-solving abilities, written and communication skills, and effective interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to work independently, demonstrate flexibility, and pay close attention to detail
  • Computer proficiency with electronic health records; knowledge of 10e11 eCR is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially with Excel

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • CASAC preferred with a minimum of 1-year experience in OASAS SUD programs
  • Must maintain a valid NYS Driver's License
