UI Health is seeking a Program Assistant (Quality Assistant) to join our Continuous Quality & Performance Improvement team. This Quality Assistant primary job function is to facilitate the retrieval and dissemination of data reports to the Quality Department and review charts for quality indicators. Some of the initial information will be raw data that the Quality Assistant will retrieve, collate and sort for ease of interpretation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Runs reports from various sources (e.g., Epic, Viewpoint, Vizient, Midas)
  • Provides administrative support to the department
  • Collaborates with Quality staff and other departments to solve issues
  • Supports activities including chart review, abstraction, and submission under deadline pressure
  • Participates in data validation for EHR reports as required.
  • Attends and participates in quality team meetings.
  • Assists in the resolution of issues and elimination of roadblocks to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Distribute, archive, maintain and file reports
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required:


  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electronic medical record systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient in computer use, Excel, Word and PowerPoint with the ability to become proficient in the use of an electronic medical record with on-the-job training.
  • Experience in running reports from electronic medical records
  • Ability to review and interpret clinical data
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple assignments, and manage time effectively
  • Work well alone and as part of a team
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail
