If so, then look no further. API Delevan is searching for a Quality & Test Engineer to join our Quality team.

The Quality & Test Engineer is a critical role for the organization, as our customer base has strict quality requirements. The incumbent reports directly to the Manager of Quality and requires excellent communication skills, as well as technical acumen, time management & organizational skills.

U.S. citizen or permanent resident status is required due to ITAR restrictions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.

  • Interfaces with customers, sales, engineering, and manufacturing to understand and support customer specific quality & testing requirements
  • Set up & operate various testing equipment including Real Time X-ray equipment.
  • Liaison with customer, on prepared product and documents for source inspection
  • Develop test standards
  • Perform, interpret, analysis, and maintain test results to ensure compliance
  • Independent preparation of customer test reports
  • Perform and document results of life testing
  • Review of engineering drawings and production documents to ensure compliance with quality & testing requirements
  • Maintain all routine maintenance/retention & quality requirements for QPL/DLA military standards
  • Support quality team in setting lab priorities and day to day operation, including preparation & maintenance of schedules to meet OTD for lab tests/requirements
  • Support multiple testing projects simultaneously
  • Coordinate with production control and operations to obtain test parts and to ensure compliance with lab delivery schedules
  • Participate on material review board as necessary
  • Maintain quality documentation
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • BS Degree in Engineering or technical AS Degree with relevant experience in electrical disciplines required
  • Must be familiar with ISO9001 & AS9100 Quality System requirements
  • Electronics, Electrical or Electromechanical manufacturing experience is desired
  • Experience with problem solving tools & methodology
  • Experience with various test & lab equipment is required
