Job Title: QA Engineer (New York, NY)

Job Duties: Responsible for executing tests and providing test management and test reporting throughout the testing cycle. Duties Include:
1. Act as a liaison with Engineering teams to ensure delivery of high-quality products;
2. Analyze and report defect leakages to the Development team for review;
3. Establish formal Quality Assurance processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices;
4. Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases;
5. Provide QA services and coordinate QA resources globally;
6. Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures related to enterprise software development;
7. Work on proof of concepts for new automation frameworks;
8. Develop comprehensive test case and test data repository by building robust test plans and reviewing test cases for detail and correctness;
9. Understand and translate business and technical requirements into automated or manual tests;
10. Achieve a growing cadence of automation tests with laser focus on quick maintenance and portability to newer code architecture;
11. Work closely with Developers and DevOps Engineers to create automated tests within a Continuous Integration environment with robust reports;
12. Ensure test lab environment availability and functional parity/equivalence with the production system environments.

Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field, plus 5 years’ experience in software quality assurance in IT industry. Experience may be gained concurrently and must include the following:

1) 3 years’ experience creating detailed test plans.
2) 3 years’ experience working on UI Testing, Unit Testing, & Load Testing.
3) 3 years’ experience translating business and technical requirements into tests procedures, automating UI & API tests.
4) 3 years’ experience with JIRA, VersionOne, GIT, TFS, & Bitbucket.
5) 3 years’ experience using development technologies such as C#, HTML5, JavaScript, REST, AngularJS, & CSS development.
6) 3 years’ experience with database testing including SQL/NoSQL.
7) 3 years’ experience on Web applications using cypress, or selenium, or protractor.
8) 3 years’ expereince on Agile development using (Behavior Driven Development (BDD) or Test Driven Development (TDD).
9) 3 years’ experience working in automated test and continuous deployment environments.
10) 3 years’ experience with quality assurance methodologies including functional testing, integration testing, test automation, and performance testing.
11) Experience in Manual and Automated Testing of ElectronJS application(s).
12) Telecommuting is permissible from any home office in the US.

The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $140,005 - $160,000. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
