POSITION SUMMARY

Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of Purchasing Managers and GVP of Purchasing officers, and related workers involved in purchasing materials, products, and services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare RFP and RFQ analysis to compare current product costs to Purchasing Managers negotiated cost proposals at the Purchasing Managers direction
  • LTO, Holiday and New Menu item coordination with Culinary, Finance, Purchasing Managers with setup at Distributors. Monitor and track inventory and deliveries for each.
  • Monthly Pricing Matrix and Pricing Audit
  • Assist with price discrepancy reporting and vendor auditing.
  • Coordinate Distributor functions as required; communicate with Distribution Centers to be proactive on out of stocks
  • Follow up with DCs on recovery of out of stocks and inventory
  • Coordinate subs as required with Culinary and Distribution Centers
  • Coordinate Q/A and product supply issues with Restaurants, Distributors, Culinary and Purchasing Leads
  • Manage inventory reporting with Distributors and arrange for proper inventory of critical items or disposal of surplus materials.
  • Coordinate vendor installs and removals for New Restaurant Openings and Closures.
  • Able to navigate and assist Purchasing Managers with vendor online ordering and account management websites
  • Prepare and process requisitions, credit applications and purchase orders.
  • Document purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures as directed by the GVP of Purchasing
  • Maintain Department Concept Project Log and Trackers and ADHOC reports.
  • Prepare reports for Purchasing Managers and GVP of Purchasing as required at their direction.
  • Manage Office Supplies
  • Daily Inventory Reporting and Analysis

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor’sDegree or certificate in Food Science, Business, Hospitality or related degree preferred.
Experience: Two to four years related experience. Restaurant, Hospitality or Food Manufacturing experience a plus.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
Knowledge: Food safety, quality systems, HACCP, GMP, etc. regarding products and restaurants.
Certificates & Licenses: ServeSafe Basic and HACCP a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
