Organizational Description & Position Overview

Strategies to End Homelessness (STEH) is a nationally-recognized leader of a coordinated community effort to end homelessness in Greater Cincinnati. Since 2007, STEH has led a comprehensive system of care to prevent and eventually end homelessness in Cincinnati/Hamilton County. Working in partnership with 30 non-profit organizations, STEH coordinates a centralized emergency shelter hotline, homelessness prevention, street outreach, emergency shelter and housing solutions with the goal of ending homelessness.

Strategies to End Homelessness is hiring a full-time Property Owner Program Specialist. The Property Owner Program Specialist will work with the Property Owner Engagement Manager in the performance of work related to the implementation, oversight and/or day to day management of Padmission, a web-based supportive housing search platform connecting supportive housing participants to property owners and their available units. The Property Owner Program Specialist is part of a team that is responsible for increasing the number of property owners willing to work with participants in housing programs, and increasing unit availability.

Essential Job Functions

· Maintain Padmission, the web-based supportive housing search platform

o Assist with user registration and initial data entry

o Train new users including partner agency staff and property owners

o Provide support for users on issues regarding Padmission

o Routinely contact users to ensure content is accurate and up to date

o Review external data entry and document upload for approval/rejection

· Analyze and report out on data collected within Padmission to determine outcomes

· Utilize data, along with information about location preferences and housing-related needs, to identify gaps and communicate recruitment needs to Property Owner Engagement Manager

· Track property owner usage of Padmission for determining incentives earned and assist with processing distributions of incentives.

· Assist in determining eligibility for, and processing of, support fund requests from property owners and agency housing case managers

· Conduct surveys of Padmission users, collect feedback and make suggestions for improvements/upgrades to Padmission

· Provide administrative support for Tenant Education Program, Community Forums and recruitment events

· Provide excellent customer service in a timely manner to both property owners and Padmission users

· Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned

Position Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Relevant experience in low-income housing, subsidized housing programs, social services, and/or property management or related industry required. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience

  • Ability to work expediently and efficiently while paying close attention to detail
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines
  • Ability to independently use Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining willingness to accept supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with community partners and stakeholders key program concepts, principles, and operational considerations

Travel Requirements

Position may require local travel to meetings and events. Reliable transportation is required.

Other Requirements

  • The person in this position may participate in face-to-face meetings, some of which will include vulnerable populations. To not pose a direct threat to the health and safety to individuals in the workplace, the person in this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and must provide documentation to that effect.
