The right person will be focused on detail, have a customer-centric philosophy, possess strong organizational and time management skills, and have the desire to develop themselves both personally and professionally. Candidate must reside within 15 miles of Waldorf or La Plata.

Position Responsibilities:

• Inspect properties and locations in the field, to secure photographs and information
• Interview policyholders, claimants, and witnesses
• Provide a crucial link between policyholders and their insurance carriers through effective communication and quality, timely reporting
• Investigate claim causation details and reaching agreed settlements
• Secure an adjuster?s license, obtain professional designations, and maintain continuing education credits

Requirements:

• College degree or 3 years equivalent professional experienced required
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficient data entry/computer skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Candidate must be willing to train for two to three weeks in our Columbia, Maryland Office.

Travel: The position is for daily non-cat claims; however, the incumbent may be required to assist the Catastrophe team if needed.

Physical Demands:

• Physical ability to travel for day-to-day field work and to attend training as needed.
• Ability to load and unload equipment as well as bend, walk, and climb for consecutive hours while inspecting damaged property.
• Must be able to carry and climb a ladder, as well as conduct roof inspections.
• Able to sit in a vehicle and drive long distances.

Other Physical Abilities: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception.
