Reports to: Regional Programs Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Starting Wage: $18 - $20/hr.
Position Status: Temporary, Part Time (20 hrs. a week)
Effective Date: Beginning February 15, 2023, ending on or before May 23, 2023,
As a national non-profit organization and a leader in the field of community health, Visión y
Compromiso seeks a temporary, part time Promotor Comunitario to be responsible for
conducting outreach and educational workshops on a variety of health topics to members of
the Latino community in English and Spanish in the San Fernando Valley.
A preferred candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years of community-based direct service
experience with under-resourced communities or communities of color. A minimum of two (2)
year of experience conducting outreach and providing community health education. Candidates
should have the ability to read, analyze and interpret general reports, procedures, or
regulations. Ability to complete reports and write business correspondence is needed. Must
have flexible hours and availability including weeknights, weekends and holidays as needed.
Due to the population served, bilingual skills in Spanish and English are highly desired.
