Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Transportation Construction Project Supervisor to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Reviews contractor submittals for compliance with contract documents and prepares appropriate responses.

  • Provides independent estimates for scope changes, and reviews contractor change submittals for price/quantity accuracy.

  • Reviews specifications for contract compliance and prepares comments on proposed changes.

  • Reviews and validates contractor project schedule and budget for all on-site activities, and monitors progress in meeting schedule and budget requirements.

  • Performs daily site visits to confirm that construction methods and activities are performed safely and in accordance with construction plans, specifications, and contract requirements. Records findings in field log and communicates areas of concern to construction team.

  • Anticipates problems and works with client, designers, and contractors, and to identify and implement corrective actions.

  • May provide technical review of construction documents to confirm design intent and coordination between design disciplines.

  • Keeps client up to date on day-to-day project activities as required..

  • Conducts/attends weekly job progress meeting.

  • Administer INDOT construction contracts in accordance with all applicable documents (Standard Specs, General Instructions to Field Employees, etc.)

  • Assignment and supervision of Inspection staff.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 2 or 4-year degree in a technical discipline or construction-related field, or a high school diploma and equivalent work experience, is required.

  • 5+ years of related experience on heavy construction projects.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans and construction specifications

  • Working knowledge and familiarity of construction-related processes related to area of assignment.

  • INDOT experience preferred.

  • INDOT Certified Technician qualifications required or ability to obtain.

  • INDOT Site Manager Certification or demonstrated ability to perform.

  • Demonstrated computer literacy. Microsoft preferred. Word, Excel, Outlook. Adobe Pro or Bluebeam.

Salary Range:

$28.51 - $49.90
