As the Project Closeout Manager in Puerto Rico, you will be responsible for developing and managing the project closeout process, internal and external communication, and staff tasks and deliverable coordination till the project is complete. In this role, you will support the Construction Manager, Construction Coordinator and Contractor until the completion of the project closure. Additional Responsibilities:

  • The closeout procedure includes resolving pending claims and/or demands, issues or difficult situations before any final payment disbursement.
  • Conduct a project closeout meeting.
  • Interviewing Agencies and Municipalities to gather information for the endorsements, if necessary
  • Ensure in coordination with Construction Manager and Coordinator that all claims are negotiated and settled before any final payment disbursement.
  • Responsible for obtaining all the necessary project related documents from the Contractor or project managers to complete the project closeout in a timely manner.
  • Revisit the project scope, requirements, and final feature checklist. Make sure everything has been met 100%.
  • Secure approvals and signatures. Ensure full stakeholder approval or customer satisfaction about your work by getting them to sign off on relevant deliverables.
  • Responsible for preparing the Closeout File per project that includes all the project closure documentation necessary for PRASA to be able to execute the project closure with the assistance of PMC.
  • Assist Construction Manager with the tracking of project performance to ensure outstanding metrics and completed according to the program requirements.
  • Well-organized professional with demonstrated strength in working independently and as member of a team to accomplish established goals.
  • Highlight important issues and lessons learned that will help improve the quality, value, workflow, speed of completion, cost-efficiency, and team synergy of the next project.
  • Index/archive project documentation in SharePoint.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • 2-5 years of direct experience in capital project administrative proceedings
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and document project related activity.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Computer proficiency.

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:

  • Contract administration experience
  • Federal funding regulatory acquaintance
