One of our key business objectives is to support our clients with the development of customized technology roadmaps that define current and future parking and transportation needs. We support cities with an array of services including parking studies, best practice comparisons, data analysis, incentive, and pilot programs, TDM planning, financial modeling, stakeholder outreach, and developing technology, staffing, and wayfinding recommendations.
Job Summary
The responsibilities of this position include providing support to government agencies and private sector firms involved in parking and transportation-related issues. The Associate Project Manager will provide project planning, and implementation of strategies, services, and programs to improve the parking and transportation needs of our customers.

The Associate Project Manager is responsible for implementing customized recommendations and plans, including coordinating new technology deployments for municipalities throughout the US. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting in the organization, quality control, and final delivery of all project deliverables. Additionally, this includes coordinating with multiple vendors, maintaining clear and open communication, coordinating all project details, and adhering to strict project timelines. The successful candidate will have high attention to detail, have a project management mindset, and be able to work effectively with clients and associates. Prior parking/transportation experience and knowledge of various parking technologies is a plus, but not required. This role at times may require travel, irregular work hours and/or occasional weekends as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
The specific responsibilities of the Associate Project Manager may change from time to time, requiring cooperation and adaptability as the needs of DIXON’s customers evolve.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work with DIXON Associates to determine the appropriate scope of work (time, materials, labor, etc.).
  • Assist in the assessment, analysis, and projection of strategies, services, and program solutions to address specific parking and transportation issues.
  • Evaluate best practices based on comparable projects. Analyze data and support the development of policies relating to parking and transportation.
  • Actively participate in project management, customer relations, business development, and company networking.
  • Coordinate multiple company projects at a time, including preparation of project-related deliverables, organization of data collection efforts, and management of customer communications and expectations.
  • Successfully identify client requirements and develop project solutions.
  • Meet with internal and external stakeholders to determine issues, concerns, and potential solutions to project objectives. Assist with public involvement strategy.
  • Conceptualize, develop, and implement programs to foster staff development and employee training, improve customer relations and enhance motivation and dedication.
  • Manage the implementation of Parking Technology systems.
  • Work with municipalities to implement best practices recommendations.
  • Manage the activities of external agencies involved in the implementation. Attends all meetings, documenting products and progress for input into projects; and,
  • Assists with setup, configuration, and deployment of various equipment and software systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience required (Advanced Degree preferred)
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct project management experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize workload, solve problems, stay organized, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, customer service experience, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Possess a professional demeanor and attitude, with an ability to adapt to changing conditions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana, etc.
  • Must be willing to travel (up to 25%)
  • Experience in public policy, transportation planning, analytics, urban planning, IT, or related field is preferred. Knowledge of parking and transportation demand management is preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of parking technology/equipment, interface requirements, and industry trends is preferred, not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
