Compensation: $55,000-70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Summary/Objective: The purpose of this position is to assist in the evaluation of programs. The Program Manager (PM) provides a broad scope of programmatic and evaluation support for multiple projects. The PM supports the Program Director (PD) throughout the program evaluation process, creates and monitors deliverables, maintains documentation, and drafts program reports for interventions, services, and overall program outcomes. The PM coordinates, under supervision of the Program Director, with the Research team to design data collection processes and surveys in support of project reporting. The monitoring duties are to be performed utilizing internal business procedures which outline the details and the processes to be followed. A key function of this job is the ability to create and update program documents such as logic models, strategic action plans, and evaluation plans.

This position reports to the Program Director. This position may also support other administrative and processing functions within the department as needed. Occasional travel for meetings internally and with project stakeholders may be required..

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Write summary reports, community needs assessments, planning documents, evaluation reports and summaries based on qualitative and quantitative data sources and maintain documentation of processes.
  • Tracks multiple programs against their implementation schedule, objectives, and reports status to supervisor on a regular basis and others on an as needed basis.
  • Monitors evaluation and reporting timelines and coordinates completion as needed.
  • Supports Program Director in scheduling, creating partner meeting agendas, maintaining meeting minutes, and tracking completion of tasks.
  • Responsible for compiling requirements of any mandatory database information/data entry per contract obligations and reviewing with the Partner Lead.
  • Provide evaluation consultation, technical assistance, and training to partners to measure grant performance measures as needed.
  • Present performance measure findings, trends, and recommendations to associated program staff and key partners via PowerPoint presentations, reports, and graphics.
  • Maintains an understanding of the partner’s population of focus, community agencies and organizations.

  • Stays abreast of current research for more than one practice area (i.e. substance use prevention, public health, behavioral health, recovery, evaluation, leadership, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of qualitative data collection and analysis methods.
  • Demonstrated capacity for working with disenfranchised populations

Preferred Competencies

  • Prior experience in program evaluation and working with behavioral health programs a plus.
  • Prior experience as a social service provider such as advanced prevention specialist, social service project management, etc.

Supervisory Responsibility: No direct supervisory duties

Work Environment: This job generally operates as a remote position. Most meetings are via webcam; however, it may require on-site meetings with partners and professional presentation in office environments and also community-based forums occasionally. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a computer and phones. All necessary supplies are provided.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position (non-exempt) and has a flexible schedule. It requires the ability to produce work on a timeline and can include long hours, including evening and weekends.

Travel: Travel will primarily take place during business hours, as well as evenings and weekends. Some projects may require more out-of-the-area and overnight travel.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Sociology, Social Work or equivalent field is preferred. However, Degree status can be exchanged for experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in public health, behavioral health, substance use, and/or social work project management, including planning, facilitation, and execution of focus groups, working collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders, basic quantitative analysis, report/document preparation.
