Cimarron is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Weapons Engineering Team for a large aerospace and defense program in Saint Charles, MO. The selected candidate for this position will join the team supporting the critical missions on the Direct Attack (DA) and Cruise Missile Systems (CMS) programs.

This opportunity offers a competitive salary and the opportunity for additional cash-in-lieu of benefits. This position is expected to last for 6 months to 1 year.

This opportunity is a hybrid role and will allow for some remote work (i.e. work from home a few days a week).

Key Duties:

• Work with our customers to identify requirements and build plans to support their needs.
• Track progress to cost, schedule, and technical performance using program management best practices and Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Support the development of customer proposals, including the development of competitive pricing and delivery dates.
• Engage regularly with supply chain leadership to monitor supplier quality and performance.
• Resolve technical issues through coordination with engineering and the Chief Engineer.
• Manage deliverables by defining plans for risk mitigation, issues, and opportunities.
• Monitor baseline plans to assess project performance, productivity, and lessons learned.
• Brief customers and leadership on program status, including risks, issues, opportunities, and help needed.
• Standardize, develop, and document processes.
• Provide support for Correction Action Requests (CARs) received by the program.
• Provide export authority support.
• Support lean/process improvements.
• Domestic and/or international travel as required to support program execution.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
• Cimarron employees are required to follow federal, state, and local laws regarding COVID-19 practices, as well as customer requirements.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• 5 or more years of Engineering experience.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally.
• Experience leading technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Active or Interim Secret clearance or above.
• Project Management experience.
• Project Management Professional Certification.
• 7 or more years of experience in an engineering role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with customer proposals and contracting processes.
• International Export Compliance experience.
• Degree obtained from an ABET accredited course of study.
