Position Summary for Project Compliance Specialist

The Project Compliance Specialist will interface with clients, determine applicable regulations pertaining to industrial and manufacturing operations, determine client status pertaining to relevant regulations, develop and implement internal programs for use at client facilities, coordinate monitoring events, and assist with completion of permit-required agency reports or documents.

This hybrid position may be based part time out of either our Seattle or Issaquah Washington offices but will be necessary to routinely gather with the Compliance team in Issaquah, WA.

Requirements and Qualifications for Project Compliance Specialist

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in environmental regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of Washington environmental regulations pertaining to manufacturing and industrial operations.

Responsibilities for Project Compliance Specialist

  • Oversee projects both from the office and in the field.
  • Complete contractor budgeting and bid reviews.
  • Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and vendors for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate and produce required deliverables in accordance with Farallon style, policies, and procedures for documentation.
  • Document investigation and assessment activities.
  • Compile data for various regulatory and other reports.
  • Comply with Farallon and industry health and safety policies and practices in all project activities.
  • Travel to local client sites as needed.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, clients, and regulators.
  • Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and computer skills.
  • Complete a range of field activities and project tasks with minimal supervision as needed.
