Job description
The Archives is looking to appoint a project archivist to catalogue historical nursing records as part of the Archives Revealed-funded project ‘The art of nursing: 150 years of St George’s nursing education’. The post holder will be expected to catalogue the collection in accordance with international standards and to contribute to sharing and publicising the collection.
Key attributes of the successful applicant include:
- Successful track record in cataloguing archival collections using appropriate software
- Understanding of relevant legislation, including data protection and copyright
- Ability to work independently and accurately
- Strong organisational, time-management and communication skills
- Enthusiasm and personal initiative to solve problems
- Passion for widening archival access
