General Description

This position is responsible for the orientation, intake, and case management support for clients and management of site-based program and daily operations

Essential Job Functions


Direct Care

  • Conduct new client orientation and complete all intakes into MIDP
  • Provide support and case management to clients and make appropriate referrals
  • Update records including admission and discharge forms
  • Contact with local courts and probation departments to communicate participants progress/attendance and other requests as required by contract

Administrative

  • Provide information to billing staff to ensure timely claims submission for services
  • Participate in all relevant staff meetings and scheduled supervision
  • Maintain safety and quality of site and report any incidents or accidents to supervisor
  • Ensure compliance with BSAS, DPH and all agency policies
  • Oversee accuracy of records and maintain record keeping standards
  • Oversee scheduling of groups and group needs
  • Communicate regularly with intake coordinators and billing department regarding programmatic paperwork specific to each department

Other Responsibilities

  • Communicate a knowledge of the process of addiction with hopefulness and respect
  • Flexibly respond to program scheduling needs and represent the agency in a professional manner in all community contacts and interagency committees

Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or equivalence required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field OR CADC/LADC strongly preferred
  • Two or more years of substance abuse treatment or counseling preferred
  • Computer literacy

Skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work with a wide variety of people
  • Knowledge of community services
  • High level of organizational skills

Working Conditions

  • Works in office; temperature regulated
  • Able to travel to other community locations within Berkshire County
