Description

Provides initial customer service response for the Seminole County 4-H (4-H) Program telephone calls, emails, correspondence, and walk-in customers. Provides technical, administrative, and clerical assistance in support of 4-H Program activities.


**Salary will be determined depending on qualifications of candidates who exceed the minimum requirements as outlined within the job description.

**Additional compensation based on licensure.

Essential Functions

Provides technical, administrative, and clerical assistance in support of 4-H Program activities.

Answers incoming calls and provides customer service by resolving questions and concerns courteously and efficiently. Provides information regarding 4-H Program opportunities and guidelines. Determines appropriate follow-up and routing within the 4-H Program for specific inquiries, requests, or correspondence not resolved during initial customer service response. Serves as primary customer service contact for the 4-H program.

Receives and posts payments for fees associated with 4-H Program activities. Maintains financial records for the 4-H program.

Provides administrative assistance for the 4-H program by compiling, recording, and maintaining supporting documentation such as 4-H enrollment, volunteer screening, volunteer hours, Civil Rights, and marketing efforts .

Maintains files, office records, and official records.

Market the 4-H program and manage the 4-H social media accounts and website


Additional Duties
:

Teach and provide educational content on semi-regular basis.

Performs other duties as assigned or as may be necessary.

In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.

Minimum Qualifications

Associates Degree in General Studies, or a closely related field and two (2) years’ experience in a busy office setting.

Courses in education, business, nonprofits, communication, and marketing are preferred.

A comparable amount of education, training or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

Additional Requirements

Thorough knowledge of Business English, spelling, punctuation, basic mathematics and office practices and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of various office software such as: Word, Excel, and Power Point.

May require occasional nights and weekends.

Skilled in the use and care of standard office machines and equipment.

Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.

All employees must attend Seminole County Required Trainings.

Department Specific training per position may be required.
