We are currently searching for a dynamic, Program Manager – Paint Systems to provide product management and technical guidance for new products and applications in paint and vision systems.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Evaluate and understand customer and market requirements for paint robots, fluid delivery, and paint application equipment
• Define future robotic paint process solutions through evaluation of customer needs, internal capabilities, competitive solutions, technology advancements, and past process solutions
• Develop and manage strategies for new paint application products (robotic, process and software)
• Lead engineering technical discussions and provide direction on critical items related to new paint application product programs
• Manage and coordinate the paint application product developments with Research and Development or within the Paint Division for new product introductions and coordinate engineers from other departments as required on projects
• Hands on testing and validation efforts will be required
• Travel to customer sites (as necessary) to assist with the startup and debug of new products
• Be a key customer contact on product related issues / support sales efforts as a key technical interface
• Development of relationships with paint material suppliers and measurement
• Work with Marketing to design and implement targeted marketing strategies, identify targeted plants, provide new effective sales tools, and train account managers on key competitive advantages and value to the customer
• Provide production introduction material for paint / dispense application products and coordinate with corporate group on major product introductions

Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum five years of work experience in paint applications and systems.
• Significant experience in paint production environments, troubleshooting, problem solving and customer management.
• Experience with fluid delivery and application equipment.
• Ability to understand engineering details and lead in the decision-making process of critical engineering concepts for new products.
• Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams within the organization with varying job responsibilities and backgrounds.
• Understanding of the automotive paint market and paint shop robotic industry.
• High level of personal initiative; ability to work well independently.
• Excellent Analytical and PC skills.
• Basic understanding of financial analysis.
• Previous interfacing with Engineering and Marketing to leverage product visibility preferred.
• Fluent in SolidWorks design capability.
• Vision system experience preferred.
