PROGRAM MANAGER JOB REQUIREMENTS
Top Box Foods Louisiana (TBF) offers fresh produce and other healthy groceries to support community partners in nutrition and hunger initiatives, encourage individuals to take charge of their health, and promote the development of a more sustainable food system. TBF’s two main programs are:
1) Makin’ Groceries Program (MGP): MGP is an affordable grocery service that offers fresh produce, meat, and seafood at up to 40% lower than retail and accepts SNAP for all products. Pre-pandemic, Top Box delivered groceries to community hubs in low food access areas throughout New Orleans and Baton Rouge. When the COVID-19 pandemic began in
March 2020, we transitioned to a home delivery model in order to 1) address the additional barriers and challenges that the pandemic created for those disproportionately affected by inequitable access to healthy food and 2) keep the community members we serve as safe as possible. We also support local growers by creating access for community members who typically experience barriers to local produce.
2) Community Food Share Program (CFSP): We created CFSP in response to our partner organizations’ need for assistance in free food distributions for households experiencing food insecurity throughout the pandemic. This program now enables us to increase access to healthy foods and food-as-medicine initiatives via off-site distribution and home delivery across Southeastern Louisiana.
Main Objectives
LEAD communications with community partners for successful coordination and implementation of all programmatic activities
GROW participation in TBF programming through community engagement efforts, partner development, and providing exceptional customer service
IMPROVE organizational capacity through the management of administrative and operational responsibilities
SAFELY facilitate distribution of fresh produce boxes and other healthy groceries to households and community partners
RESPONSIBLY utilize TBF vehicles, equipment, and administrative processes to ensure reliable and efficient daily operations
POSITIVELY represent organizational values and expectations in both team and community settings at all times
Daily Responsibilities
1. Lead community partnerships for both existing and potential partners a. Provide partner organizations with exceptional customer service b. Coordinate food distribution logistics with Director of Operations and other key TBF personnel to confirm scheduling, product availability, and operational capacity c. Assist the Director of Louisiana in new partnership opportunities and acquisitions d. Track qualitative and quantitative programmatic data to support with formal and informal reporting efforts e. Support community engagement efforts including representing TBF at community events, presentations, and other engagement opportunities f. Proactively identify volunteer and internship opportunities when needed to support
TBF programming
2. Manage customer service channels and provide exceptional support to all program participants and customers a. Communicate customer feedback and service-related issues to Director of
Operations and other key TBF personnel b. Support with managing customer payment collections and issuing customer credits/refunds as needed c. Manage general customer service inbound and outbound requests
3. Support daily operations to efficiently and effectively achieve community partnership and customer service goals a. Actively support Director of Operations with daily logistics and order fulfillment b. Support management of Shopify inventory to accurately reflect current availability and pricing c. Provide additional operational support as needed, including but not limited to: collecting inventory from vendors, preparing and delivering product, supporting incentive tracking and reporting

Details
Work Structure:
● Full-time with both onsite and remote responsibilities
● 40 hours per week - 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
● Occasional events beyond normal working hours may be required, though “flex time” will be granted to accommodate for any additional hours worked
Compensation:
● $40,000 per year + benefits
● Paid bi-weekly, every other week
