Responsibilities:


As the Hypersonics Program Financial Technical Specialist, you will directly support the Director of Hypersonic Test and Evaluation. You will perform complex analysis of budgets and schedules needed to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned programs. You will act as a key technical expert on financial analysis issues. You will coordinate, negotiate, and resolve financial compliance issues with various governmental agencies to ensure accurate interpretation of contract requirements; establish and define program plan requirements for assigned work; coordinate interdepartmental development of program plans and interfaces with vendors and customers as required. You must have a strong Financial & Accounting background, have a good understanding of overall business operations, and will enjoy working on complex and critical projects geared toward growing the business.


Responsibilities and Activities Include:

  • Collecting and consolidating data into useful, actionable financial information providing management accurate, timely and reliable reporting
  • Support annual operating plan and forecasting
  • Monitor and report performance against plans to ensure that contractual cost and schedule objectives are met.
  • Support finance reviews and budgets to all departments within the organization; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Monitor the status of financial accounts, ensuring that task order charges accurately reflect the correct labor hours and rates, subcontractor costs and other direct costs (ODCs)
  • Financial modeling, value added reporting, and variance analysis
  • Partner with Business Unit Finance to develop monthly and annual forecasts based on program backlog, performance, and resources
  • Through data analysis provide financial analysis leveraging tools to quickly access data and present meaningful, concise information
  • Monitor spending versus plan and notifies management promptly of any over runs/under runs
  • Prepare financial reports, statements, and estimates that are provide to the Government to ensure effective management
  • Coordinates, negotiates, and resolves financial compliance issues with various governmental agencies to ensure accurate interpretation of contract requirements
  • Ad hoc reporting as requested
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Required Experience:

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting
    • BS 5-7 years of related PFA experience
    • MS 3-5 years of related PFA experience
    • PhD 0-2 years of related PFA experience

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change
  • Well organized, reliable, and highly motivated with ability to handle multiple projects and produce timely, high-quality work
  • Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Advance Excel modeling skills with ability to mine, consolidate, and report on complex data structures resulting in visibility for decision support (queries, pivots, lookups, etc) · Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any additional clearances as required

Desired:

Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint, Cognos, and FocusPoint preferred
