Program Coordinator-Procurement Coordinator Quad-Cities Campus

  • Responsibilities:
    • Perform direct one-to-one business counseling to established small businesses.
    • Conduct outreach activities to increase the visibility of the program.
    • Maintain and establish contacts within government contracting at a federal, state, and local level.
    • Assist with government contracting forms.
    • Assist with navigating government contracting regulations.
    • Assist small business clients with registration and certification as defined by the SBA and the State of Illinois.
    • Identify, prepare, and deliver educational content through workshops and conferences. Presentations on topics dealing with government contracting for small businesses.
    • Complete government contracting training curriculum as provided by the program.
    • Prepare and submit reports as required by WIU.
  • Required Qualifications:
    CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER:
    • Bachelor's degree Business or related field
    • Three (3) year of work experience with government contracting and/or business development experience.
    • Demonstrated use of the SAM registry for small businesses.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and skill registering small businesses for SBA certification.
    • Active experience with all aspects of government contracting.



    Note: Must be able to obtain credentials needed to participate in purchasing activities on federal government installations.
  • Starting Salary: $4,311 /Monthly
