Your Role With Us:

As the Professional Development Specialist, you'll support our organization’s mission to improve the health and well-being of the people and community that we serve. Your responsibilities include creating and promoting an environment that affords quality patient care and service excellence through evidence based and competent practices done by clinical staff. As an educational member to Salem Health, you will be a role model for professional behavior, creating a professional climate and meet the diverse needs of the clinical units. This position will require experience with education/training, customer service, and the ability to function as a high performing team member.

Background/Expertise:

• Master’s Degree in related field, required -or- will consider candidates who are currently enrolled in a Master's program.
• Licensed through the Oregon State Board of Nursing as a RN.
• Require BLS from the AHA within 30 days of hire.
• Previous teaching or education experience required. Examples would be serving as a preceptor, providing unit in-services or holding an education/training position.
  
• Three (3) years of nursing or healthcare experience required.
  
• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in in one of the following identified areas:
• • Adult Health (Medical-Surgical)
  • Critical Care
  • Emergency/Trauma
  • Outpatient /Ambulatory Care
  • Psychiatric services
  • Surgical Services
  • Women’s and Children
