Production Supervisor

Job Summary:

As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate production operations involved in the manufacturing process. Your responsibilities include ensuring smooth operations, supervising employees, and maintaining a focus on safety and quality. This role requires independent judgment and collaboration with various teams.

Essential Functions:

• Follow production plans and schedules, coordinating with maintenance, quality control, shipping, and other relevant departments
• Assign and communicate job responsibilities and schedules to shift personnel involved in the production process
• Supervise and evaluate job performance of employees
• Monitor attendance, vacations, and floating holidays of the supervised personnel
• Conduct safety meetings, training sessions, and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations
• Monitor and oversee kiln burning operations and raw mill/finish mill grinding operations
• Review production data and prepare reports as requested by management
• Assist in problem-solving and troubleshooting to ensure smooth production operations
• Assist in resolving union problems and grievances when required
• Maintain records and monitor BIF operating parameters (cement plants only)
• Act as Alternate Emergency Coordinator for the Emergency Response Team (cement plants only)
• Order tools, supplies, and safety equipment necessary for the manufacturing process
• Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance for mills, kilns, and machinery used in production
• Provide regular updates to the Production Superintendent on current operations and workforce status
• Perform other job-related duties as necessary to meet production schedules and quality standards

Requirements:

• Two years of college, technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of production experience with a focus on process control in a similar industry

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,236.84 - $100,564.80 per year
