The world relies on HPS to continually conceive and produce state-of-the-art transformer technology. We currently have an opening for a Production Planner! This position is located in Compton, CA.

The Production Planner’s primary objectives are to develop production programs based on the assigned capacity and availability of materials, monitoring and making adjustments to the program when they present changes, equipment failures or availability of materials. Ensuring that the operating units have a program consistent with the company’s sale requirements. Effectively communicating with Customer Service and Sales Departments. Responsible for production control activities inside and outside the operating system and reporting as required.

Key Responsibilities:

· Purchasing Planner - Originates and monitors the entry of work orders within the operating system to meet the shipping dates of sales orders by tracking work routes to achieve this goal. Oversees the daily production schedule to make it executable and effective. Follow up with the on-demand vs. ability operations team to suggest adjustments to the production schedule, meet demand, and not create over finished product inventory. Monitors the synchronization of production control boards. Oversees capacity reports, overdue orders, on-time delivery, hours earned, and efficiency

· Review daily, weekly and monthly production requirements by creating a top customer report for daily monitoring in operations and leading the weekly board of top customers with sales and customer service

· Tracks the needs of the sales and customer service department in relation to quotes, expeditions, Premium, RECAPS and status of open and in transit orders

· Participates in the RMA and inventory process in terms of production control

· Resident expert for AX and in not only cleaning up problems but more importantly focusing on using AX to improve our operational processes.

Qualifications:

· Associates Degree Required; Supply Chain management

· Experience in Manufacturing/Distribution; Inventory management techniques, warehouse management required; 3 years experience preferred.
