Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 2 years previous experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed (day/night)

Job Summary:

Production operators work together with experienced team members to tend to machines such as fillers, labelers, packaging, cappers, palletizers, and other various equipment used for bottling water. Operators will be part of the product’s process flow from start to finish and will operate manufacturing equipment in both an efficient & safe manner. They must always ensure that the packaging & quality of the product is never insufficient. Additionally, all production operators will follow good manufacturing practices at all times.

Job Duties:

Essential

Ø Will perform basic machine operations to include; stacking raw material, handling finished product cases, performing quality inspections and minor machine adjustments.

Ø Monitors the flow of outgoing finished goods and correct any disturbance in the flow of those goods.

Ø Cleans equipment and line continually throughout the shift and maintains a clean work area.

Ø Expedites repairs to the line; working with maintenance as necessary.

Ø Keeps daily records of down time and machine operations.

Ø Must follow all established ‘Good Manufacturing Practices’.

Non- Essential

Ø Performs related work as required.

Ø In the absence of this employee, the direct manager or appointee will cover responsibilities.

Useful Skills for the Job:

Ø Some manufacturing experience with a beverage, food or liquid consumer products manufacturer is preferred.

Ø Prior knowledge of GMP’s, sanitation standards and FDA requirements is helpful.

Ø Must be able to stand for extended periods of time – 12 hour shifts.

Ø Good organizational skills.

Ø Good written & oral communication skills (priority on interpersonal communication)
