Job Title: Production Manager

Overview:

Our non-profit organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to lead our donated goods retail operations. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of production, quality control, maintenance, safety, and employee development of the department. Additionally, the Production Manager will support the personal and professional development of our employees, who are central to our mission. The Production Manager will work closely with all departments to ensure efficient and effective day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all production operations, including quality control, maintenance, safety, and employee development of the department.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Ensure that all output meets quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement training programs to support employee professional and personal development.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to all production employees.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
  • Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operations.
  • Monitor and report on production performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain set production quotas for the entire department as well as for each individual employee.
  • Develop and manage budgets for production operations.
  • Develop and implement training programs to support employee professional and personal development.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to all production employees.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to empathy and caring for all employees' professional and personal development.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Supply chain management, Manufacturing Production operations, or related field, preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years of experience in production management, with at least 2 years in a management role, required.
  • Experience in a non-profit organization, preferred but not required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, required.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective strategies, required.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee development and training, required.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, required.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, required
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, required.
