YOUR ROLE
  • Balance safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee satisfaction to achieve positive results in all areas
  • Direct personnel actions including employee selection, training, performance appraisal, discipline, coaching, & development
  • Oversee all facets of a 24/7 production operation and use data plus shop floor observations to drive improvements in safety, quality, employee satisfaction, and cost.
  • Determine manufacturing priorities, staffing, and overtime based on established production schedules
  • Communicate and hold employees accountable to manufacturing standards including production procedures, safe work processes, behavioral values, and manufacturing efficiencies
  • Supports the quality initiatives of the company by instilling a commitment of quality to all levels of production personnel.
  • Assist in setting, achieving and maintaining goals for production inventory accuracy, scrap reduction, and production efficiency.
  • Identify production bottle necks and direct steps necessary to increase productivity.
  • Support safety policies and environmental responsibilities including reporting, investigations, and root cause analysis
  • Drive 5S improvements in the operation.
  • Direct problem-solving and continuous improvement activities with emphasis in safety and quality
  • Utilize the SAP ERP system to understand & improve plant performance metrics
  • Lead Lean Thinking and implement changes
  • Other duties as assigned.



YOUR SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and six to ten years related manufacturing experience
  • Minimum five years in a manufacturing supervisory role
  • Chemical batch processing experience preferred but not required
  • Prior experience leading in a 24/7 environment a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly engaged leader of people
  • Strong background in Lean Manufacturing to include 5S methods, Kaizens, and other continuous improvement programs.
  • Problem solving ability and critical thinking skills required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Demonstrated integrity and reliability
  • Strong commitment to safety systems and OSHA required standards
