Role Summary

Provides clerical support to input production, logistics, and other manufacturing data into electronic and manual systems and may include some analysis to reveal anomalies or trends in that data. Some inter-departmental communication is required that includes follow up on deadlines.

Examines documents, materials, and products, and monitors work processes, in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage time and attendance for Operations group.
  • Daily manpower moves in quick base.
  • Putting manpower needs in the coverage app.
  • TPM and safety audits Provide support by processing, analyzing and generating large amounts of data.
  • Maintain integrity of databases through review and validation.
  • Assist the Maintenance and Facilities team with data entry, as required.
  • Assist in WIP counts.
  • Administrative tasks such as ensuring check sheets are copied, available and delivered.
  • Perform Training Matrix updates weekly/monthly (daily if needed).
  • Verify hours, or headcount in production ticket system to verify labor efficiency
  • Resolving SAP issues with labels
  • New log ins for new packout employee
  • Gemba -walk note-taker and EHS ticket submitter
  • Collaborate with Department Managers to resolve questions, inconsistencies and missing data
  • Apply analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations/problems using multiple sources of information
  • Follow up on overdue/incomplete LPA action items
  • Work with the maintenance and production teams to ensure red tags and work orders, as a result of LPA findings are captured correctly and closed before the specified deadline in an effective manner.
  • Assist the production department with the gathering, entering and analyzation of all production entries.
  • Maintain physical and digital filing systems
  • Make sure proper documentation is in place to meet MAFACT audit requirements.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma (grade 12) education, post-secondary education in a related field is preferred.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years previous administrative experience in an automotive manufacturing environment. Previous experience in a production or material control position is preferred.
  • Able to exercise initiative, common sense and ability to maintain effective internal and external working relationships.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook, with the ability to grasp new with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess excellent typing skills for quick data entry
  • Must be highly organizational with data and comfortable presenting in a group setting
  • Flexibility, high tolerance for change and an ability to learn quickly.
  • Results oriented with the ability to handle the pressure of last minute deadlines.
  • Highly motivated with a proactive mindset and methodology.
  • Above average computer typing and written short-hand skills.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate to all levels within the organization.
