Leather And Earth Co was started with one goal in mind, to make personalized books and stationary for amazing People because every Person matters to us. We started with soft and thick natural leather made right here in the US, and then fill each book with the best paper. We personalize each item just for our customers. We are an e-commerce business. We take pride in every book we ship, and take extra time and attention to getting every detail perfect. We are looking for people to join our production/assembly team. Job Purpose: Create leather books and other products by hand from start of process to end of process. Make our handmade paper.

List of General Responsibilities:

• Schedule is 9:30 am to 2:30 pm Tuesday through Friday
• Assemble books from start to finish utilizing hand work
• Prep leather for products from cutting to pounding holes
• Make paper for deckled edges for use for products
• Ensure quality of all phases of production
• Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience with hand skilled production
• High attention to detail and consistency with routine assembly work
• Excellent visual/spatial skills
• Ability to be cross trained in a variety of roles
• Detail oriented individuals who possess strong pride of quality of work
• Ability to take direction and then continue projects independently in a production process and ability to work at a steady pace for maximum output of creating product
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.

Education/Other

· High School Diploma preferred -we are focused on what you can bring to the table vs. what degree you hold

· Other credentials and certifications in related to e commerce type businesses roles a plus

Performance Expectations:

· Perform responsibilities as directed achieving desired results within expected time frames and with a high degree of quality and professionalism.

· Establish and maintain positive and productive work relationships with all staff, customers and business partners.

· Demonstrate the behavioral and technical competencies necessary to effectively complete job responsibilities. Take personal initiative for technical and professional development.

· Follow the company's Employee Handbook Policies including protecting confidential company information, attending work punctually and regularly, and following good safety practices in all activities.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
