Shift: 1st 6:30 AM - 2:30PM Monday - Friday

General Summary

Grade 2 jobs include positions such as: assembler, advanced machine operator, fabricator, or welder. The primary responsibility for these roles is to assemble products based on blueprints, operating forming machines in the production process, pressing, assembling control panels, brazing, and welding products to move on to assembly.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Contribute to safety and process improvements
• Mounts and assembles electrical components
• Handle and maintain flow of materials and products through the production flow
• Maintain accurate daily production records
• Work from production systems, blueprints, and verbal/written instructions
• Responsible for the quality of product based on set standards
• Review unit assembly drawings and electrical schematics to develop a strategy to identify placement of components and sensors
• Troubleshoot wiring and component issues
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S, and Lean initiatives
• Help train new production employees as directed
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S, and Lean initiatives
• Cross-train within the department
• Perform other tasks as directed

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be in current position for 6 months
• No disciplinary actions within the last 6 months
• No Written Warning for attendance in the last 6 months

Physical Demands

• Must lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Standing for a minimum of 8 hours per day
• Continuous lifting, kneeling, pulling, bending, etc.
