We are looking for a Production and Inventory Assistant to join our Supply Chain team in Houston, USA.

The main purpose of the role is to provide data entry support and expediting of jobs for the Supply Chain.

Main responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining suitable records of all activities
  • Responsible for review of machining and fabrication jobs
  • Responsible for Fabrication Order process to include o Processing of fabrication & machining job orders o Close-out of fabrication & machining job orders
  • Manage travel receipts and maintain purchase order folders
  • Ensure accuracy of data to Work In Progress
  • Ensure accurate entry of purchase order receipts into inventory/jobs
  • Know and understand Sparrows Offshore Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality

Management System.

  • Perform all other duties as required by Supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

HSEQ responsibilities

  • It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with the Company's HSEQ Policy and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Sparrows Integrated Management System. The incumbent must report any incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems to their Line Manager.
  • The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under country-specific health and safety legislation to follow all Company processes and procedures and familiarise themselves with the emergency response arrangements applicable to them. The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises.

Qualifications and experience

  • 2 years of data entry experience
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal with the ability to read, write and speak English
  • Broad range of computer skills: database, Excel spreadsheets and the ability to navigate through company software programs
  • Highly motivated with the ability to multi-task and effectively manage work across multiple projects
  • High attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
