Georg Fischer Harvel LLC, a world leader in industrial plastic piping systems, seeks highly motivated Product Sustaining Engineer. Reporting to the Sustaining Engineering Manager, you will own product engineering support activities to ensure that all technical concerns are addressed in product decision making.
Provide direction as well as hands on design of product improvements and cost reductions through GF's gate process. Determine if product deviations are technically feasible and cost effective. Support the plant in determination and elimination of product quality issues including placing material on engineering hold if needed. Assist in sustainable throughput improvements with reduction in scrap rate. Design projects to standardize Equipment, Materials and Process and implement and maintain high quality documentation on processes and procedures. Own all technical documentation including, but not limited to, product performance and dimensional data, ERP data, BOMs and routings, part release, part drawings, and technical manuals.
