Job Purpose

Under the direction of the Director of Product Management, the Product Manager oversees a team of Product Technicians as they work in conjunction with Research & Development and Testing departments to ensure the product meets company quality and operational standards. Product Manager establishes and observes the success and performance of products at different development phases by performing in depth Product Assessments on any and all developed/approved products.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the execution of in depth Product Assessment on every developed product, prior to the products testing launch.
  • Provide support to development, testing, training, and support teams to produce quality products and processes through detailed reports, documentations, and instruction.
  • Validate processes determined in development and establish further specifications, procedures, and policies in conducting consistent product company-wide.
  • Follow food safety in all applications of recipes, documenting times, temperatures, and procedures
  • Operate and upkeep a functioning kitchen that conducts product assessments and duties done by other teams.
  • Collaborate well with chefs, share kitchen space and communication regarding ingredients.
  • Ensure that quality and operational issues are effectively addressed and mitigated prior to product launch.
  • Plan processes to decrease defects in products.
  • Support troubleshooting and better understanding of the product’s processes on a larger scale.
  • Remain current on development in the industry, including equipment and quality initiative programs.
  • Isolate and communicate trends in production
  • Assist Director of Product Management with any other tasks as necessary.

  • Experienced in food safety and handling, and quality assurance efforts in the same or similar fields.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented culture.

  • Team player.

Working Conditions

This is an in kitchen position and work from home is not available. Must be comfortable in a kitchen and familiar with standard kitchen etiquette. Must be able to work on your feet for long periods of time and are able to operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment.

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift products and supplies, kitchen equipment, and ingredients up to 50 pounds.
