CTS Cement Manufacturing Corporation is North America’s leading producer of rapid-strength and shrinkage-compensating cements and cement products. CTS’s belitic calcium sulphoaluminate (BCSA) cement technology, a low-carbon alternative to portland cement) can be traced back to the discovery of CSA by Alexander Klein at UC Berkeley in the 1950s. CTS’s full line of products also includes sealants, adhesives, coatings, and other high-performance building materials.

· CTS is seeking a full-time Product Compliance Engineer/Specialist. The ideal candidate will work with CTS R&D, Sales, and other departments to support and document CTS products’ compliance with US Federal and State Department of Transportation (DOTs) & international agencies' approval lists, university research studies, and packaging compliance. This position reports to the Vice President of Product Strategy and Compliance.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain and administratively support CTS products on US Federal and State Department of Transportations (DOTs) and international agencies’ Qualified/Approved Product lists

· Arrange shipment of product(s) to DOTs and universities

· Create, update, and maintain CTS product Safety Data Sheets (SDSs)

· Assist with complex compliance tasks

· Qualify and test CTS products for independent laboratory and DOT-related testing

· Perform regular laboratory testing and record data for cement, concrete, and other construction materials per standard test methods

· Perform regular maintenance of laboratory and equipment

· Able to use a computer for communication and data entry

· Create spreadsheets for data management and recordkeeping

· Interact with multiple departments (Order Desk, Operations, Quality, R&D)

Qualifications (education, personal attributes):

· Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM), or equivalent field

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to lift up to 60 pounds regularly

· Ability and openness to travel within the United States and occasionally internationally

· Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word

Experience desired but not required

· American Concrete Institute (ACI) Field Testing Technician certifications

· Familiarity working with ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) standards

· Experience working with cement, mortar, or concrete

· Experience in a laboratory setting

The starting hourly rate for this role is between $24.04 and $31.25 per hour. Starting base pay is to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with the market data. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
