We are currently searching for a Product Configuration Specialist in our Mountaintop, PA facility. This position will support product configuration (BOM creation and maintenance) as required within the CornellCookson product line. Position will become knowledgeable in Product Configuration Management (PCM) and gain product knowledge to support business requirements for new product development, product changes and continuous improvement. The position will provide frequent interaction with multiple departments including IT, Operations, Materials, Sales and Engineering.

Accountabilities

• Develop Bill of Material structures in configured business system for new products, product changes and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain existing system product structures.
• Understand shop floor paperwork and support required changes
• Maintain and update shop floor routings and lead times.
• Ability to troubleshoot systems problems and provide reliable solutions.
• Perform other tasks as assigned at management’s discretion.

Characteristics & Attributes

• Working knowledge of configured ERP systems (Friedman Frontier preferred)
• Experience with Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to read drawings and understand the technical content.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to troubleshoot ERP/product system problems.
• Motivated and self-directed
• Excellent organizational skills
• Root cause and corrective action problem solving
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in team-oriented environment.esponsibilities/Principal Duties:
• Must demonstrate the ability to analyze and interpret engineering documentation and drawings and convert information into product logic and BOMs
• Must have a thorough understanding of product structure, database logic, and general manufacturing processes. A working knowledge of engineering and shop floor control is desired.
• Knowledge of Excel
• Must be analytical, detail-oriented, and logical.
• An Associate’s degree in a technical discipline is desired. A Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline is preferred.

Education and/or Experience

• Associate’s degree is desired, in technical area or technical certificate, and two (2) years of experience in product configurator application(s) is desired.
• Experience using an AS400 based ERP system for manufacturing applications, Frontier preferred.
