Boeing Global Services (BGS) Supplier Management is seeking a Supplier Management Procurement Manager (Level K) within the Modifications, Training & MRO Team.

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the Supplier Management Post Award & Supplier Performance Team providing functional support to all BGS government programs in Long Beach, CA.

Position Responsibilities

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Oversight and management of team responsible for supplier delivery performance across all BGS-G Repairs programs.

  • Manage Top-Tier suppliers and leads supplier performance recovery efforts.

  • Ability to analyze data to develop strategies that help improve supplier performance.

  • Conducts supplier assessments and evaluates risk, issues, opportunities and impacts to program / customer requirements.

  • Hold extensive knowledge of Supplier Management processes and procedures.

  • Excellent negotiation and problem resolution skills are required.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to identify lean / processes improvement opportunities to create efficiencies within the repair process flow.

  • Builds and maintains relationships and partnerships with suppliers, program, customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

  • Demonstrated leadership attributes.

  • Ability to travel to other Boeing sites and suppliers (<15%).

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Long Beach, CA.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5 + years of experience with Program Management Best Practices including Base Line Management, Risk/Issue/Opportunity Management, Performance Metrics, Customer Communications, Requirements Management, Supplier Management, and/or Earned Value Management

  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer, Supplier Program Manager, Supply Chain Management Analyst/Item Manager, or Supply Base Manager

  • 5+ years of leadership experience (team lead/project manager/manager)

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate Long Beach, CA area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $118,150 - $159,850
