Job Description

The Processing and Packaging Lead plays a key role in the processing and packaging of all high-quality cannabis products within our cannabis manufacturing facility. They oversee our Product Packaging team, responsible for executing all daily packaging, labeling, and cleaning procedures. They are tasked with ensuring optimal quality, safety, organization and efficiency as well as ensuring that packaging specialists have the instruction and support needed. They ensure the team closely adheres to all Packaging SOPs and policies; inspecting products for quality assurance, flaws, and imperfections, as well as assuring that all orders go out complete, correct, properly labeled, recorded, and in a timely fashion, while maintaining the high standard of cleanliness that our cannabis production facility requires.

Responsibilities

  • Train and supervise Packaging and Labeling Specialists
  • Communicate with supervisors to interpret packaging schedule
  • Set and maintain pace of work for the Packaging Team to ensure that products and orders are packed in a timely manner
  • Ensure all products are packaged and labeled correctly
  • Create, review, and update SOPs as needed
  • Perform Quality Assurance procedures on all packages throughout the shift and prior to orders being deemed complete
  • Log and Track batches in Dutchie and Metrc
  • Oversee daily cleaning routines, activities, and assignments
  • Coordinate with Inventory Manager to maintain Inventory of Equipment and Packaging Materials
  • Rigorously ensure that labeling, packaging, tracking and logging are always maintained with impeccable attention to detail
  • Virtual Movement of Inventory in Seed-to-Sale Tracking Systems
  • Responsibilities are subject to change based on the needs of the company

  • A current Servsafe Certification and/or OSHA 10 card
  • Familiarity with Massachusetts policies and regulations governing recreational / medical cannabis production
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods
  • Can physically lift and balance up to 60lbs, 100lbs with assistance

Work Hours :

The Packaging Lead role is a full-time, exempt 40 hr/week position, currently operating 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
