Position: Private In-Home Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced private in-home chef to cater to the culinary needs of our family of 5, including 3 children aged 5, 10, and 12. The successful candidate must have a strong culinary background, with a proven track record of preparing high-quality meals for families or in a restaurant setting. We are seeking a chef who can prepare a range of American-style dishes, as well as the occasional ethnic cuisine.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare evening meals that meet the family's dietary requirements and preferences
• Shop for high-quality, fresh ingredients, and manage the kitchen inventory and pantry supplies
• Manage the kitchen, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and safety at all times
• Be able to accommodate individualized needs and preferences of the family
• Prepare meals for special occasions and events as requested
• Ensure the kitchen equipment is properly maintained and repaired as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a chef in a restaurant or private setting
• Formal culinary training or equivalent experience
• Ability to cater to individual dietary needs and preferences
• Strong knowledge of American-style cuisine and the ability to prepare a range of dishes
• Willingness to learn and prepare new cuisines as requested
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Clean criminal background check and driving record
