We’re seeking a future team member in the role of Principal, Business Analysis to join our Business Analysis, Enterprise Project Management Group This role is located in Jersey City, NJ.
This will be a flex/hybrid position.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Provides expertise and leadership in a specific business domain within a line of business. Serves in a cross-program role to ensure quality of the deliverables within their areas of expertise and drives innovation and strategic solutions within global, mission-critical, large-scale programs
Gathers and analyzes information and provides recommendations to address strategic business objectives that span multiple, global business and technology areas. Ensures an end-to-end solution for delivery of the desired business results
Directs and assists team to elicit, challenge, and prioritize requirements, translate into functional design, and use case models
Provides guidance in development of the technical design, test plans, and user documentation. Leads implementation/conversion strategy planning and implementation.
Manages the project scope, objectives, constraints, and assumptions for a large, strategic, multi-year program
Manages scope and change throughout the initiative utilizing formal change control and requirements traceability
Participates in industry forums and keeps current on domain knowledge for their specific business and application areas of expertise
Applies experiences with existing software and/or systems development processes to define and collect metrics and develop better processes to be used in the future
Contributes to the achievement of departmental objectives

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or technical-related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
A minimum ten (10) years of experience in providing consulting advice to senior IT and business management required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
Experience in the financial industry required with experience in Brokerage and Bank Custody preferred
Experience with waterfall and agile methodologies preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $96,000 and $185,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
