Job Summary

Forms plate and specialty products. May use the following tools & equipment: Mechanical and hydraulic press brakes, roll forming lines, punch presses, band saws, drill presses, templates, scribes, lifting equipment and miscellaneous hand tools.

Primary Responsibilities

• Receives work assignments and schedules from plant supervision.
• Obtains material manually or with crane or forklift and moves to work area.
• Assists or performs layout and set-up work as instructed by Area Lead or Production Manager.
• Uses fabrication prints and bills of material to determine quantities and specifications.
• Utilizes the previously identified tools and equipment to fabricate each component to match the associated print.
• Tags and marks structure as required.
• Checks quality of each component and completes quality control reporting.
• Records production as directed by management.
• Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.
• Performs other related work as directed by supervision.

Qualifications

Required:

• 1 year manufacturing experience.
• Good organizational and math skills.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:

• Previous metal forming or brake work experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and Bills of Material.
• Previous die setting experience.
• Previous Crane Operation experience.
• Previous Forklift Operation experience.
