As Spanish Immersion Preschool Teacher You Will:

• Fluent in Spanish! Previous experience running a preschool class as a lead teacher in a preschool classroom
• Develop classroom curriculum and manage the classroom's flow of the day You must have classroom management and quality immersion curriculum implementation.
• Actively participate in training, special events and Teacher meetings and relay administration updates and information constructively and effectively with the team
• Collaborate and communicate respectfully with coworkers creating positive relationships and center culture
• Manage classroom materials (ie - ordering, storing and labeling materials) to ensure maintenance of a well-organized, developmentally appropriate classroom
• Model and mentor providing a safe and loving environment for children in collaboration with a team

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:

• Meet all state teaching experience, education and additional state requirements if hired including at least 12 ECE units
• 3-5 year of experience in a childcare setting in the U.S. serving a Teacher role or similar capacity (Required)
• Ability to be flexible and approach change with a positive mindset
• Proactively seeks out resources to continually improve performance in self and others
• Ability to model a patient, caring and calm demeanor respectfully interacting with every child

Physical Demands

• Demonstrate full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, walk, bend and otherwise fully participate in activities. Standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to physically handle children between 0-5 years of age using appropriate techniques. Ability to lift children up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirements.
• Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies.
• Follow state, federal and WeVillage guidelines regarding immunizations, employment physical, and required health and safety training and practices.

• You have 3 -5 years teaching/classroom management experience. Experience with play based Montessori,Waldorf or Waldorf Spanish Immersion is a great fit for our program!

• You are available to start ASAP

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
