We’re looking for happy and enthusiastic educators who love preschool age children (2.5 years - 4 years) and can help us to provide quality early education, which benefits the child, their families and our community! Candidate should understand the importance of outside play and hands on gardening experiences for children of all ages. Our amazing team averages 5 years at Kid Zone.

Preschool Teacher Responsibilities and Duties

Our Preschool Teacher would be working in one of our 4 preschool classrooms with children ages 2.5 years - 4 years

• Help plan and implement fun and interesting educational activities using the Creative Curriculum
• Love working with children and watching the grow and develop
• Maintain assessment books and observations using the Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment
• With the help of your team, facilitate a daily routine including group times, meal times, big body play, outdoor time, literacy activities, math and science experiences etc...
• Attend monthly evening staff meetings and other trainings as determined
• Prepare and facilitate Parent Teacher Conferences twice per year.
• Develop relationships with parents and co-workers through open communication
• Create a warm and nurturing environment for the children in your classroom, and the program as a whole
• Attend parent and community building events throughout the year
• Interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
• Create and implement intentional activities and conversations surrounding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the classroom
• Continue the potty learning process with the classroom children
• Have a DEVELOP account and be wiling to obtain the necessary requirements as determined by Parent Aware for a 4 star rating

Preschool Teacher Qualifications and Skills

• Associates Degree or higher (preferably in Early Education)
• Minimum of 2 years preschool teaching experience preferred
• Responsible
• Optimistic
• Reliable
• Enjoys working with a team
