Are you looking for a fun and rewarding job coaching children between the ages of 2-7 years old? This is the perfect job for someone who is fun, enthusiastic, and considered dedicated when it comes to working with younger children.

We are seeking to hire part-time sports coaches for our Preschool Sports programs. Work is typically scheduled on the weekends, in 3-hour blocks with three 50-minute classes in this time period. Candidates must be able to commit to classes for the entirety of the season. This is an opportunity to not only inspire the next generation of sports enthusiasts but to also develop yourself as a coach or as an educator.

As a Preschool Sports Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for working with young children, ages 2 to 7 years old, on any of the following programs: Parent & Me Squirts (ages 2 to 3), Sports Squirts (ages 3 to 5), or Senior Sports (ages 5 to 7). It is preferred that candidates have experience of working with children. Our programs are based on sports so it would be helpful to have a background in sports or physical fitness.

You will be required to attend a Virtual Introductory Hiring Presentation, where you can learn more about USA Sport Group and the coaching opportunities available, from the comfort of your own home! Our Virtual Introductory Hiring Presentations will be held on Wednesday, February 8th at 7pm, Tuesday, February 14th at 12:30pm, and Thursday, February 23rd at 12:30pm.

Following the zoom, all candidates will be required to attend a practical in person event on Saturday, Feb 11th from 9am to 11am in Livingston, NJ, Saturday, Feb 11th from 12pm to 2pm in South Plainfield, NJ, or Sunday, Feb 19th from 10:30am to 1:30pm in Ho Ho Kus, NJ to gain approval to coach with us. Successful hires at these events will then attend PAID training, receive full uniform, equipment and curriculum needed.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Previous coaching or teaching experience (preferred)
• A fun and bubbly personality to engage children
• Desire to learn and to improve as a coach
• Passion for working with infants and young children
• Enthusiastic about sports and teaching basic skills to beginners
• Ability to relate and communicate with children, parents, and co-workers
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Weekend availability

Strong candidates may have an opportunity to start in our Winter season if available.

Spring work assignments to start in April with paid training hours throughout the winter.

This position requires consistent weekend availability with after-school hour availability desirable. Some midweek morning hours may be available but limited.

Candidates without weekend availability will not be considered.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
