What we are offering:

• Student-friendly schedule
• Saturday and Sunday evening shift starting as early as 5pm and working until all custom orders are designed up to 10pm import. Hours worked are order-dependent. Start of shift can be flexible; however, all orders up to 10pm import are required to be designed by 3am. Hours per week will vary with max at 29 hours per week. Additional hours may be considered around production needs.
• Starting base pay rate of $16.00 per hour.

The Prepress Designer at BIG DOT OF HAPPINESS is a multi-purpose role. Candidates will be considered for positions in print and converting of our unique product lines and themes that include everything a party planner needs to host an event like no other! An intermediate level of comfort with computers is required with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator. The ability to multi-task accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced setting is key. Connecting with the company's core values is essential!

PREPRESS DESIGNER TASKS:

• Designing customer photos for print file template
• Using cutout.pro to import and save photos for design
• Cut file prepping before print

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
• Strong attention to detail and eye for quality
• Proven critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and eye for quality
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Experience with printing and other equipment, mechanical ability (can include on-the-job training)
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete tasks within reasonable and agreed upon time frames
• Intermediate to advanced level of computer skills required
• Knowledge and experience related to digital and large format printing a plus
