Texas Hill Country Olive Company – Dripping Springs, Texas (2530 W. Fitzhugh Rd.)
Texas Hill Country Olive Company, located in the scenic Hill Country, is Texas’ most awarded olive oil producer. We are looking for a Prep/Line Cook (full or part time, day shifts only). We are a small, relaxed kitchen. Our simple menu utilizes produce from our garden as much as we can, so the menu stays interesting. A great candidate will be organized, keep a tidy work station, and display close attention to details. You will be able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. You will also be able to ramp up and function in a fast-paced, busy environment when required and work as a part of a team.
Responsibilities
· Follow recipes and instructions from the chef
· Perform simple food prep
· Prepare dishes such as salads and sandwiches on the line
· Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
· Ensure all food and other items are stored and labeled properly
· Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
· Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Requirements
· Foodservice experience preferred
· Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen (food handlers certificate)
· Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
· A team player with good communication skills
· Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
· High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; culinary training an asset
Job Types: Full-time or Part-time considered
Pay: $15 - $18 per hour, based on experience
