Pre-Kindergarten Teacher 2023-2024 School Year

College degree and teacher certification are required.

The position is for a Pre-kindergarten 4 teacher. Teacher would be responsible for teaching the 4-year-old pre-kindergarten students according to the curriculum and guidelines for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Duties:

· Plan, develop, write and implement the Archdiocese of Philadelphia curriculum for the pre-kindergarten students

· Provide a safe and developmentally appropriate pre-kindergarten program

· Provide supervision of children enrolled in the pre-kindergarten program

· Provide developmentally appropriate instruction to the pre-kindergarten students

· Communicate with parents about students’ progress

· Establish and maintain an educational environment consistent with instructional goals

· Manage student behavior to encourage the best possible student educational experience

· Evaluate students’ academic growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare various progress reports and report cards

Requirements:

· College degree

· Teacher certification

· Updated clearances

o Pennsylvania State Police Background Check

o Child Abuse Clearance

o FBI fingerprinting

Candidate must have all required clearances and must attend the Protecting God's Children class provided by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Archdiocese of Philadelphia application also required for employment.
